Towed for first time

I finally got to tow something with my truck. I have had the truck since June and towed a 16' flatbed trailer with a 98 Ram 1500 2wd short bed, reg. cab. I towed it from southwest PA to Indiana. Dropped the truck in Indiana and brought the trailer home empty. About 600 miles round trip. The truck did great. I could hold 70 - 75 mph with no problem. Mileage was about 13 but probably would have been much better if I was going slower . I estimated total trailer weight to be about 7000 lbs. I was very happy with how the truck performed.

Get an EGT guage & #11 plate. The stock clutch will be ok & you won't believe the towing difference.
