I dont know if what you posted is accurate. However the GVWR and axle weights will be on the door frame sticker. From a legal standpoint those are all you need to be concerned about. Payload and Towing capacity are kind of an arbitrary number based on what the manufacturer feels is good. Legally as long as you dont exceed the door numbers you are good

No problem same goes for a trailer It will have the gross and axle weights on it as well. Also the tire capacity is checked as well
