Sacramento Area RV Parks?

Weight Distributing hitches ( I need one and FAST!)

I have a chance to pick up some extra cash, towing new equipment trailers from the factory to dealers in the southeast. I just wondered what the going rate is on a 'per mile' basis. What are some of you guys getting? thanks for the help.

tmarti96,

I work for a hot shot company (sorry, dont want to say the name) and i pull a 40' foot gooseneck trailer. I get paid a little bit more than $2. 00/mile. Hope this helps.

My experience is hauling RV's. There are some "ifs". If the company furnishes load insurance, loaded liability insurance, transport tags and operating authority, the current rates run 62 to 66 cents per loaded mile. Some will pay a fuel surcharge which can run up to 10 cents per loaded mile. They will usually will pay your tolls when you're loaded. I urge caution with insurance. Your regular auto insurance policy is normally null and void if you are hauling commercial.

I am sure it is different for some freight but I have been told a buck and a quarter a mile. I have always wanted to do this in the summer when I am off but the insurance would eat up all my earnings just doing it when I am out on summer vacation.
