BIGNASTY,

He is still there, but getting a bit older. Sharp as a combat knife ever could be. Born in a coal mining town in SW PA, USMC Korea Veteran, Corsair pilot shot down 2X, retired flight instructor for United. We have gone over his scrap book stuff, still remembers every face in the fading B&W pics, pilot's log book signed by John Glen.

This was taken in GNP in '07.

Getting OLDER IN MONTANA!!!!!!!! it happens I get pretty stiff in the AM dont know if it's all the mule packin and riding (I know it is im trying to convince myself of other reason's) or just the change of season's it's nothing that a few cup's of cowboy coffee and a 800 milligram Motrin from brother Up John cant fix, :-laf seein things like this dont hurt neither

AHHH Love those mountains. But it does look a little steep for my Dodge. I've done trail riding near Jasper and Banff but that's sissy stuff compared to what you do. Maybe I'll add that to my Bucket List :) Shadrach

Ya I dont think your Dodge or any other brand will do this. The trail is just a little to narrow. We have been to Banff with our animals it was allot of fun, Ya have a few more reg''s than we do in the U S. The problem wasnt getting the horses over to Canada they were great with it. Just had to buy weed free feed no big deal. The problem we had was getting them back to the U S It sucked so bad we will never do it again. Shadrach the pic is really just across the border on our side. In Glacier Nat Park. They to are kind of picky about horses because they want you to rent from their stables at some super high price.

Beautiful shots of Canada. Thanks.

Big Nasty, rent a beachfront condo each summer in O'Side. Go swimming, sunning, bikini watching, deep sea fishing and eating killer Mexican food.

That should do it.

Montana should do it for you for another year. :)

Well I hope MT will do it for more than just another year for me as we moved up here just a little less than a year ago. The plan was to be planted here for all of eternity, I just have to let the wife know where to spread the ASH ( not in the horse pen's) MT has in my mind as shallow as that may be has got to be the prettiest place ive been to. So far this is the place to spend eternity, quiet takes 3 days of hard riding to get there, so ill be the only BAD neighbor. Oo.

When God made the mountains there was no border. We have been to Waterton and did the boat ride across the border. Shadrach

How does that work now with the passport thing and the boat. We didnt stop in Waterton. Maybe next time. Ya not much difference in the two parks I do like the campgrounds Lake Louise trailer campground VERY NICE

We got off the boat at the US end of the lake ( the lake runs North South ). There is a cut line in the trees that runs East and West that marks the border. You can see it easily on the boat ride. Really where you gonna go? It's a long hike to any American town. It would take several days by horseback to reach one. Look at a map of Alberta or Montana and you will see what I mean. There are no customs but I understand there are mounted Park Rangers who do "patrol" the area. Check it out: Waterton Lakes National Park - Home Page We camped in the town campground and had Deer wander through every morning. Man is it windy down there.
