B&W Turnover GN - Self Install?

5th gear/2400RPM or 6th gear/1700RPM???

OK here's a post from a 6. 7 owner. We are getting 9. 8mpg hand calculated all around towing a Titanium trailer like DWeiler's. The truck has got only 4400 miles on it so far so it isn't even broken in yet.

It's funny you mention the display mpg. When not towing, I usually drive the same roads and speeds back and forth to work each day, and rarely use the truck for anything else but work or towing the trailer for a vacation. The displayed mpg is only 0. 5 higher than the hand calculated when I am just using the truck to go to work. I guess it must have something to do with how it averages the fuel usage??

That makes me and my second genner feel better, when it is broke in lets hope you get a couple more MPG to be on or close to the older trucks out there. DW

My 04' will get between 8 and 14 mpg towing my enclosed, speed and type of roads play the biggest factor(these #'s are with 22. 5's). But the smarty has to be on sw5 to be equal power to the 07. 5 The 07. 5 will do 7-12 pulling the same trailer. Trailer is 24'x8. 5'x9. 5' weighs in just over 11,000lbs, and we carry between 4-5k lbs. in the bed.

Last scale showed:

Steer: 4800

Drive: 8460

Trailer: 9150

Gross: 22410

I just had the G30 recall done on my truck and the trip home the overhead went to 18. 9 ... That is not towing but hopefully DC has stumbled onto better milage with this fix.

CUMMINZ

I got 11. 7 for 175 miles at 6,000 to 8,500 feet in the mountians of central New Mexico with a 28. 5 foot 11,000 pound 5'er.

My daily commute nets me 15 + on the average. I only have 5500 on it so far and no issues.
