Towing mileage

We just finished a round trip through the Blue Mountains and the Columbia River gorge.

Very happy to say we averaged 13 mpg, hand calculated and each time I topped off the tank to the lip so I know it was a very accurate reading.



I kept the speed at 65 mph as much as possible,

In 02 we went to Alaska from Va. , 14000 miles round trip and ave. 12. 5 mpg. That was also hand calculated . I was very happy. Going west though N. D. I only got 8. 2 but made up for it coming east across Kan. I got 18. 7 . Had one heck of a tail wind,400 egt with 5 psi boost.
