2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Towing Mirrors....pwr/heated!

There must have been a heck of a run on these, both Auto Parts Warehouse and Car-stuff.com have pulled their listings due to out of stock.



"Auto Parts Warehouse is in CA, I'll try to call them this afternoon since they are 3 hours behind us. " I think this must be corporate HQ only, I live less than hour away from Carson, my mirrors were shipped from Tennessee.

Auto Warehouse says three weeks! No response from Kool Vue yet, I couldn't find a phone number for them so I sent them an e-mail.

... So I see no one has had any problems with the control for the mirrors on the driver side hiting the nut from the mirror stud? I did and trimed the end of the control back a 1/8 inch or so and it worked...

I did the conversion using original Dodge mirrors and had the same problem. So it appears these by Kool Vue are close enough to OEM that they even have similar fitment issues!



But it does concern me that the internal mechanism seems to be different as JMcKee noted. Time will tell if this is a problem, but it could be a long time!

Kool-Vue probably doesn't do retail, just their dealers so you may not get any response from them, but who knows?

Since they only sent me the left side and backordered the right, I just happen to have one laying around#@$%!#@$%!



On the inside two sets of numbers are visible,#CC16302-L and #CC16301-LH.

I had a friend order my PWR/Heated mirrors and he ordered the wrong ones
If anyone wants a set for an 03-up 2500-3500 or also fits 02-up 1500

So now my money is tied up#@$%!

They hosed me.....

I ordered on 1/28/08, confirmed in stock status before ordering. My CC was charged the full amount that day. On 2/05/08 I received the box with only one mirror, the left side. I called customer service three times, got three different answers.

1. Sorry, we'll send it out! Bye, hangs up. (never even asked my order number)

2. Sorry, right side mirror broken, last one, two week or more wait.

3. We will send it out right away!



Then last night I get an email. .



"



Hi,







We regret to inform you that we cannot ship part# DG49ER RH side Mirror because it is not available. We already credited you in your account for a total of $170. 71.

These people suck!



Now I have to get a RMA return number and get a refund for the one I have, and I even get to pay for the return postage!

This will probably be a nightmare!

Me too. I was a bit surprised they just canceled the order for one mirror, instead of just leaving it back ordered. I wish i knew what the real story is.

Ram4Sam, I think you got a raw deal on this. I feel they should of kept your right mirror on back order and gave you an expected ship date to fill your order completely. I feel your pain and I'm usually the one that is a day late and a dollar short on these kind of deals. You can tell this on-line vendor doesn't care about it's customers like most of the vendors we have here on the TDR. I assume Kool-Vue only sells to their distributors but I wonder if you can get a hold of them to see if they know if any other distributors that might have them in stock. So far I'm real happy with the mirrors but time will tell if they are built well and if they hold up, mainly the electrical adjustment features.

Yes, it's aggravating, but whatever their reason/situation is, I not going to lose any sleep over it. I haven't seen the mirrors anywhere else, hopefully that will change. I have the manual tow mirrors anyway, they work fine. I am a purchasing agent for a large corporation so I am used to dealing with vendor issues like this, no biggie. As long as they don't yank me around on the refund, I won't unleash the hounds on them. I hope these work out well for everyone, I am looking forward to a set of them. Until then , maybe I need some bigger injectors... . :-laf
