Towing Mirrors

Anyone got any input on the optional 'Dual Folding Power Trailer Tow Exterior Mirrors' (Mfr. Code GPG)? Are they worth the additional $90 to $100? Do they include the turn signal indicators in the glass? It says they are power... does that include heated glass? I would prefer to have these if they work well instead of adding onto the stock mirrors when I tow.

I got them on my 06. They fold up and out, then you can adjust where they point with the inside adjustment. Yes they have defrost. On my truck they come on with the switch for the rear window defrost.

I love them. I had the folding mirrors on my 02, but they were not power. I hated the no power part. If you ever backed up over a hill you can understand how you will want adjust the mirrors as you backup.

Diitos on what TowPro said... . I can only add: no turn signal on mine (not sure if the new ones have this option)... . if you are going to tow, I would opt for them... They are better than any add on and if you are going to buck up for tow morrors, why not go with factory!

Another vote for the factory tow mirrors. No vibration and remote adjustment is great. No matter how often you tow, you will apreciate the view around your fifth wheel. No turn signals on my 2004 mirrors. Fred

I like them better than the standard mirrors for just driving around time... The height of these trucks it is easy to lose a small car in your blindspot.

They are heated except for the convex mirror.



Great towing mirrors, only way to go in my opinion.

They are also expensive. Week before last backed out of garage and crunched the passenger side mirror. Two days later it was replaced by dealer. Tab = $472. I will be more careful backing out of the garage from now on.

I just dropped by the local Dodge dealer and picked up a brochure as I got tired of waiting for the one to come in the mail that I ordered. They had just received a 3500 SWR 6. 7 diesel w/ automatic in Mineral Gray. It had the tow mirrors and they look like they work pretty sweet. It's surprising they don't include the turn signal indicator like most all the other truck mirrors have now days.

$365 shipped for the power/heated. 10 minutes to install per side. I had the standard mirrows and upgraded to the tow mirrors. I would definately get them if I was ordering the truck.
