2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Towing mirrors

I have a 1997 ram 2500. I was wondering if the newer style towing mirrors would fit my truck.

If manual, not electric (or with heated glass), you can install mirrors from up to '02 before having to do any modifications.

You can install the tow mirrors you see on the 03 and 04 models, but you will not have the power option, or the heat option, but they will mount on your '97.

What do you mean by "newer style"? The sheet metal on model year 2003 and model year 2004 Ram 2500's and Ram 3500's is different than the second generation Rams.

On your truck you can install the manual tow mirrors from up to '02 on your truck, they just bolt on.



If you're really motivated, you can also get a set of tow mirrors from an '03 on up and swap the bases on them with the bases on the '02 on back and get power tow mirrors once you work out the wiring. It's not too involved, but it doesn't just plug in.



It would probably be cheaper and less trouble to just buy power tow mirrors from a vendor though.

Here you go! They will bolt right on. If you currently have power adjustable mirrors with heat, and want to retain that option, then there is no "easy" way to do it.

These mirrors are manually adjusted, and have no heat feature.

These will fit your truck. I am not the seller. Just did a quick search on EBAY and found these. If they sell before you can get them, or the price is too high for you, there should be another set soon. I bought mine on EBAY last year.

OEM Flip Out towing mirrors

I just installed a pair of the OEM Flip out towing mirrors like the 02's came with & their great! Install was very easy with instructions, & all necessary hardware including the replacement door panel attachment pins. Non power & heat though.

I bought them at Dallas Dodge Parts for $209 + change delivered. Call the 866 number & specify year needed

Have had them since around late summer of last year. Have been very happy with them so far. Kinda wished I bought the heated versions though. Would have to do a little wiring, but that is no big deal.
