I pull a 12k 5ver with a jet ski in tandum with the d-box & the 275's on a long hard pull I have seen 1050 ex temp, the boost psi goes up to 21psi then ya can see it back off to 19psi then here comes the exast temp, im thinking on turn buckleing the wast gate but am woundering if the D-box will act as boost fooler and keep from flaging a over boost code. Im trying to get some input from SuperChips. I to think that more boost will lower the ex temp. Harv

Howabout that growl??

Mine does it too (growls) and I have never seen any threads relating to this issue. It reminds me of a gasser with lots of advance. I'm guessing that it is tons of fuel exploding on a piston that is going too slow (low rpm) to match the burn rate of the fuel. If this is the case, it has to be stressful on rod end bearings, or the whole piston assembly for that matter. Empty, it is not too bad, but with a full load I try to avoid letting it happen!

Like you said, not much there when I'm empty. But towing, makes my butt pucker up... .





Has anyone set the EZ milder and see if it does the same? I may try that.



Is there anyway to disconnect the EZ and still have it function as a boost fooler? I may do that for a while.

No timing on the Edge EZ.



Superchips probably rebadges the EZ. So does BD, DD, and probably more. The EZ adds lots of fuel pressure to achieve power. If you lug the motor then go WOT, You will hear the "growl". Don't worry though. I just got home from Pheonix in my truck hauling my backhoe. Edge EZ was the only enhancement plus in box air filter. Trailer and backhoe weighs 23,480 lbs. Then add in the truck. ++++++ I was hauling over the hills through the desert 115* temps and I could barely hit 1200* pre turbo. Pretty impressive. I was cresting all of the hills at 75+ MPH. All this in a truck with 1500 miles on the clock.



I am still waiting for the Bully Dog box to get back. I will post more about it later. Timing and Fuel will be better.



Don't worry about the growl. It is on level 4-6 only. If it is a bother, Set your box on 3... ... .

i have the edge ez, and i am looking for a little more power, i am thinking about doing dd1s or 2s. and people said i should do the tc and vb before, but i have a hard time understanding why, if i put a 1000$ tc in before my transmission goes, all the metal from the transmission is going to be flowing into the tc and damaging it. why wouldnt i just wait for it to go, and let the warantee pay for the whole DTT rebuild?!
