Anyone with good RV'ing info on Furnace Creek, Death Valley?

Air horns question

I did look at the door and it lists GVWR 12,000#(vehicle max weight). This helps but I need either the GCW (gross combination weight/truck and 5th wheel) or the max weight of a 5th wheel that it can tow. Thanks

Thanks klenger. Just what I was looking for. Some where I recall seeing something that you could pull a heavier 5th wheel than trailer. It would seem that weight is weight no matter what it is. Any thoughts??

The Dodge towing guide shows the max trailer weights, and the max weight of the truck itself and the max the whole combination (loaded truck and trailer) can be. Dodge has a note that any trailer over 10K GVW must be on a fifth wheel style hookup. So you can tow heavier fifth wheel style than bumper pull.

Mine works out to:

12,200 Max truck

15,300 Max trailer

27,500 total of both

So you'd believe I can safely be a max weight of 27,500...

BUT the real max for my rig is:

23,000 Max combined weight...

Here is a link that goes back to 2002 for REAL DODGE specifications:
