Power cord out of the king pin??

Am I too Hot?

Anybody out there that tows horses with a Catcher? Thinking of adding one to my DD II's and wondering if this would be a good combo?

The catcher is all about drivability. IT WILL shine with a trailer.

GREAT addition. But, you may need to watch EGT.

Catcher stands for clutch and traction challenger. AKA Marco's ECM or MAD ECM.

Marco is a TDR member that lives in Italy and reflashes the Cummins ECM. He cracked the code and can reprogram the factory part to do inside the ECM what alot of performance boxes do from the outside.

The Catcher doesn't add dyno HP. If you want HP, you need a fueling box, and the Catcher will play with them. What the Catcher does do is improve driveability, turbo spinup and pedal responsiveness.

TDR member Bob Wagner is the conduit to get one. PM or email Bob. There is a Catcher thread on the 24V Engine forum.

dyno graph with stock ecm and dyno graph with catcher installed, same dyno same day :) I see some mo power AND torque ;)

Sorry Bob. The numbers look good.

Just goin' off what Marco said - not wantin' to advertise it as a HP upgrade. ;)

Marco said:
Anyway I doubt that the M. A. D. ECM will show anything special on the dyno. Probably the top numbers shown on a dyno would be in the range of what an EZ does. The CaTCHER is all about driveability and FUN to drive.

Hey Fox,

Are you running a Catcher, and if so, what kind of EGT's are you seeing? Any issues with a touchy go pedal?

This seems a "no brainer" combo for the 5 speed trucks with the big jump between 3rd and 4th gear. I was just hoping to talk with folks that have real world experience with this type of a set up.

WORD!

Why dont you send me one, along with a bill. I think I'm ready to buy. I would love the chance to have a 'try before you buy' considering my combination. it should work great with the twins and my TST (fueling only) box :D

how does it work if i switch to an auto this winter like planned? do i have to get it changed out?

towing EGT's???? anyone??
