I doun't have gages I pull a 29 ft toy hauler bumber pull, it weighs 8,000 lbs empty I can put 3 quads 50 gals of fule 100 gals of water what stage should I run on to be safe 1 or is 2 going to be alright thanks for the help

Gages are cheap insurance. I have an SO with the EZ on 3 and I can get the exaust temp up to 1300 real easy when pulling a grade with a 6500# trailer. You are running blind without gages... ... ... ... ... ... to quote a few,you are your own warranty station! :(

I will have gages as soon as I get my jucie/attitude for the truck still know one has answered my question I didn't ask if I need gages I asked it I would be alright in level 2 or level 1 I just run it on level one why does a stock truck need gages my dad has pulled trailors his hole life in a stock powerstroke, cummins and never had a gauge add or had any problems, the messed up thing is I sold all my gages out my stroker to my friend tor $200 cuz I was going to leave the truck stock that lasted long

No, you will not be safe pulling on level 1 or 2 with the EZ and more than 8000lbs at elevation. I pull from Denver, west thru Utah and on to California quite often with about 8000lbs and had the EZ on my truck. The temps were safe most of the time but, there were times that I had to back out of it pulling passes like Vail and Eisenhower. If you are willing to back out of it and slow down on the passes, knowing that going in, you will be safe but, what was the use of the added power if you are going to slow down anyway.

If you are not going to put gauges in now, I would not advise pulling a load with a box unless you don't plan to use the power.

For what its worth, I now run the Juice w/Attitude and my temps are way lower than stock pulling a load. That is even with it turned up on level 3.

I am getting better economy with the Juice pulling a trailer but, as of right now, I have not noticed any significant increase in mileage empty. I think some of that may be due to winter fuel. Last year when I took delivery of the truck, it was past winter fuel time and I live out of the country most of the winter months usually. I put the Juice on the truck the day I returned so, not sure how much winter fuel affects economy on this truck. I know it would knock my Dmax down about 2 mpg empty. As for the increase pulling a trailer, I am exstatic because I am getting 3-4 mpg better on level 3, all hand calculated.

I just pulled my toy hauler over the weekend for the first time with the ez set on 2 and kept my foot out of it on the hills and man all I can say is it pulls like a freaking freight train my power joke didn't even come close to pulling it like this truck does, The over head said I was getting 12. 5 to 13. 4 mpg I will hand calc to day when I fill it up and let every one know

Chamberlain,

What sort of mileage are you getting from that 05 4 door? Is she 4x4 and what is your axle ratio?

Sorry for all the questions... I am getting ready to trade my '00 in for a 04 or 05 but I am trying to figure out what axle ratio I should shop for. I have 4. 10's but dont pull that often and would rather squeak a couple more mpg out of her if I can.

Thanks!
