Hey guys... Last week I towed our 38 ft. Fifth-Wheel from Bristol WI to Dayton OH.

I used the #1 setting, and as long as I didn't have to slow down for traffic, I never had to downshift to 5th to climb grades.

There weren't any big hills, but nevertheless, I've always had to go to fifth on just about any grade.

Just wanted to share.

In January, I'll be heading to AZ and then Cali... can't wait to see how the Cajone Pass goes!

Cajon Pass was fun, but nowdays, traffic is so bad, you can't really get a good run up the hill, there's always a Ford or Chevy in the way :-laf ... Baker Grade, Mtn Pass on I-15, Hill on Hwy 395 just outside of Biship, Ca. :--)

Gotta love the Cajon Pass. How about 40 West bound out of Needles. Coming home from Havasu or Lauglin? That's a grade.

Sorry I haven't posted back for a few days... been working a lot.

I didn't have a chance to check mileage by hand... honestly hate to sound dumb, but how do you do it correctly?

Just take the number of miles you drove divided by the gallons of fuel burned. Also, how were your EGT's towing with the Smarty?

when is the smarty due to be available for the 06's. After selling my 03' and driving my 06 around in stock for it is driving my nuts  :-laf

I hope the smarty will do tire calibration on the 06 as well since the dealer can only go so far.

KEEP ON TRUCKIN'
