Dumb Question here!



Wouldn't someone who hauls a Goose Neck trailer have similar problems as someone with a fifth wheel trailer? If this is so, then I know that my brother is exceeding his maximum axel weight! When loading trailer, he backs Farmall H. on first. Placing all of the weight on truck. Which is about4350 LB. 's. Then pulls Farmall M on rear of trailer which is 6480 LB's. I would think this is similar to fifthwheel. Just my two cents!!

Tractor's

He's loading the tractors right, light on first then heavy on last will pull some weight of the drive axle. . That is IF the trailer axle's are not clear in the rear of the trailer. .

think of the teater-toter effect.

I've pulled "big" 5th wheels and small. But i will take a Goose neck any day. More freedom of movement!! An it seams to ride smoother loaded or empty. If i were to buy an RV I'd proubly convert it first thing.

Depending on the empty trailer wt. it may be over loaded Per the dodge spec's . I my self wouldn't give it a second thought.

As my goose is rated at 20k. and i have you might say field tested it to the max.

And i did install exh. brake to help the stopping,And i don't tailgate>>>>
