I agree. Mostly about buying on reputation both past and current. We have to listen to what Consumers Reports, JD Power and Assoc, etc say about a product, then sift thru the bs and make our own conclusion. I for one tend to pay more attention to my peers (in this case toy hauler brothers) opinions rather than rating agencies or past reputations. After all my fellow rvers usually are looking for the same things I am. Bill

Well I am getting the itch as you can see in the post about half way up I have the Desert Fox 28' Toy hauler... . It is nice but I ***** about storage on it. Most stuff ends up inside under the couch.

I went to an RV Show here in SLC and I saw the RV I will buy later when I pay off the truck... . it is the 35 or 36 ft KEYSTONE RAPTOR. There is, depending on model, either 1 or 2 slides and there is a wall separating the garage from the living space. right above the wall is a loft bed which pushes into the garage but is still separated... . 5. 5 Kw gen, corner shower, front wall wardrobe, 112 gal fr. water, Bose stereo, cieling fan, a VERY NICE toy tiedown system... . (3 long Truck strips that use the clip straps...come with some short pieces... and you can mount them where you want). . There is a 1" Plywood floor (in the garage) covered with rubber Diamond plate and diamond plate on the edges of the walls. a workbench, storage cabs. , fantastic fan,

Very nice rig and the bigger of the units has a GVW of 15000. ... 14500 for the 35' (1 slide). So that will be the rig I will get later on... .

Eric: you will love the Raptor. Mine is awesome!! I originally wanted the 36' with the 2 slides, but they did not make very many due to a weight problem with the sliding deck they came with. We got the 35' and really dont miss the extra room in the upper bedroom. There is a ton of storage room, the generator is quiet. And it tows great with the tri-axel. My 03 3500 HO dually pulls it without breaking a sweat. We looked at alot of toy haulers and always came back to the Raptor.

I've had a 35ft fleetwood 5th wheel toyhauler (got rid of it after a year)

Presently have a 39. 5 ft Jayco Talon with a 12 foot garage. Love it.
