Does anybody have feedback on the Open Country C/T's? It looks like a way to get the 3-ply carcass construction without the noise and mpg penalty of the M/T's. I can almost see these OEM Firestones disappearing before my eyes, so I am trying to do a bit of research in advance.

They are definitely on my short list for my next tire, but admittedly I dont know anybody that's ran them. They are mountain snowflake rated which is important for me.

The only down side is there's not much of a selection in sizing outside of the common OEM sizes.

TFucili,
Here, in the Phoenix area, on Saturday mornings, there is a radio program geared to automotive questions by Mark Salem, who owns an automotive repair facility in the east valley. He highly recommends the Toy brand of tires. One of the nice things is that they are manufactured in the U.S. somewhere in or near Atlanta, GA. (so, American Made). He and his customers have had very good luck with that brand. Mr. Salem seems to be somewhat of an expert in tire problems, also. I've never owned them, myself, but do, regularly, listen to Mr. Salem's program (960AM). I think his store is called Salem Boys & he has a website called the"best car repair shops in AZ.". I've used the website and have never been disappointed in the quality of the repair shops he recommends.

The C/T's will be my next tire. I currently have A/T2's that are approaching 60K miles. I'm very impressed with these tires and I just need to know if the C/T is an even better tire.

I had C/T’s installed today, 35x12.5R18’s. They’re very quite on the highway. Not much of a review yet, I’ve only put 40 miles on them.

Will be interested to hear your opinion on them. I'll probably won't need tires until next summer but these are still on the short list for my next purchase.
