Just got 4 Toyo M55 LT 285/75R 16s installed. I was concerned about them being noisy as others have stated. They are totally quiet at any speed. Not sure if there was a design change, but they can't be heard even with the windows open! The balance came out perfect - I'm very happy with them. The ride seems to be as good as the D load range 285's they replaced.

Got them from Colony Tire which is now selling 4 Toyo's for the price of 3. (This is good through 4/29/06). They do not stock these tires, but can special order them.

As a note, a 285 will fit in in the stock spare tire location even with a 4" exhaust.

Sweet! I'm convinced this might be the single best 285 on the market for us. Long treadlife, good traction, and E rated! Also known to be tough as nails...

Now, if only *I* could find a dealer with a good price on them...

Colony tire stores are in North Carolina and Virginia. I purchased mine from a Raleigh store and the phone number is 919-488-8473. The person you want to talk to is John, he did the special order.

Mine were quiet when new. They talk to me a little at 45-55MPH, but I hardly even notice. I mean the AFE is screaming by then right?
