I am about to pull the trigger to get the Toyo MT 295/70R17 and would like to confirm the following:

1) There will be no tire rub at full lock with no lift and stock rims?

2) Do the MT's give good traction through most of their tire life?

I currently have the Toyo AT 285/70R17. They did great in snow, ice, rain and wore evenly (but quickly). I also liked the load rating 3750 lbs @ 80 psi. However, the AT traction seemed to noticeably diminish when they became 1/2 worn out.

The MT 295's load rating is comparable at 3970 lbs @ 80 psi versus the other Toyo MT sizes at 3195 lbs @ 80 psi.

-Thanks-

Don't have direct experience with these

Tires in particular but put 500thousand on

A diesel LandCruiser over the 24 yrs I owned it.

Mud lug tires will in general wear faster than

An AT and will not work as well on icey roadsbut they do fairly well in deeper snow.

Mt tires generally work better than AT only in heavy slippery mud offroad.

A guy in my neighborhood with an '08 and Toyo 295's has 42,000 presently on his and easily will get 50,000. My Toyo AT's are going to be dead@ 35,000.

I just bought the Toyo open country 265-75-r16 . This is the second set. I had great results with the first set. Got almost 50,000 miles on the first set pulling a 10k 5fer most of those miles. But after buying the second set I found out this set is made in China . Not is Japan. I'm somewhat bummed out but time will tell. Good luck on your decision. Brett
