toyo open country AT seems to be on national backorder. im looking for size 285 70 17 E . i need 5 tires. anyone know where i could find these? thank you in advance!

I just got a set for my 05, Les Schwab had them but they were hard to get though. In my opinion they are well worth the effort, it's a great tire!

Are those E rated? I looked on Toyo's site this is what I found for that size, maybe i missed it or it is not listed yet? 2755lbs seems like a low weight rating for a E tire. They also do not list max PSI, what do they say on the sidewalls?

LT285/70R17 121S

(33x11. 50R17) 301320 7. 5-8. 5-9. 5 49. 6 17 32. 76 11. 50 15 2755 636

I have 4 new Toyo AT 325/17 sitting in my garage with stickers still on the treads. There right at the same hight and width, by 1/4", at the 315/17 BFG AT that I'm currently running.

Find the cheapest price on the net for these, and I'll let them go for 12% back of that.

thank you rank ram. however,im in west virginia and it seems the closest schawab dealer is in utah. thats 1600 miles. does anyone know of anything closer?

Are these a brand new tire? I cannot find them listed anywhere with those ratings?

My guess is that Toyo has just now changed the 285's to an E-rated tire and I just happened to get lucky and get the E-rating. When I bought these I was expecting the D-rated tires. Much to my surprise when I got home and checked the air press. I then noticed the E-rating! :D

Hope this helps.

On Edit: When I was looking at the sale ad for these, they listed them as a D not an E rated tire.

Wow, a 3,750 lb loading rating with 80 PSI. If that's correct I guess I know what my next set will be. Great find guys!

I'm not trying to pick a fight here but why would you say "If that's correct"?

Ya, I thought about that after I looked at this thread again this morning. That was kind of itching for a response wasn't it  . Just that I haven't seen the specs yet but it certainly doesn't mean that I don't beleive you either. I wish these mfr's would keep their websites up to date though. This reminds me of the 295 Nitto's. Their website doesn't list the correct load rating either (s/b 3,4XX lbs).

How do you like the ride quality?

No problem... ...

Karl the ride and traction are great, I like them much more than the stock BFG's. I can't wait to hook up the 10k toy hauler and see how they do.

If I ever have time to wash the truck I plan to take better pics, while I'm at it I will be sure to get a close up pic of the sidewall ratings info. :-laf
