Just did a 600 mile trip to Tok and back to pick up 2 snowmachine trailers. The majority of the time I was driving on packed snow and ice, some of it polished by the wind.
My impression of the Toyos (2657516 Open Country 10 ply) after this trip and the 3000 miles from the states last month, is that they are far stickier on the ice and packed snow, they are more stable in turns(far stronger sidewall), than the factory Michelins.
They make a little more noise than the Michelins, probably because they have a more agressive tread.
Time will tell if they do as well as the Michelins on treadware, which I think is the ONLY thing the michelins have going for them!!
