What stock of Full Size Pickups etc do you

Steam Engine Torque?

A lot can happen before one hits the streets - but I don't care for the inside OR outside styling - a bit to "Asian" for my taste...

Hope it goes past 60MPH,all the Hino"s iv seen or passed/used in the bread industry struggle to maintain/or stay near the speed limit---put a little weight behind the cab-overs and they are slow. For the downtown routes and high traffic/small call to call area, the Hino cab-overs are the way to go IMHO,Great view for the cab, easy to park/back up etc. Hino just has to turn up the power to around 350/400ish,if they did that i"d be picking up stacks of bread most off the day from taking off to fast light to light. Nice dually from Toyota, kind of wished they went with a Cat(my other choice if not Cummins). I can see this truck or some of it to market in 5 years.

U-G-L-Y !!! "custom" F150 bumpers? a dumb lookin brush guard and those ridiculous rear fenders!? Also the anouncer says 300hp/600lbft then the write-up states 256hp/745lbft ? and the fetish leather seats? What a joke! I've seen better on "PIMP MY RIDE"!

I liked it a whole lot, should be back there tomorrow and Friday and do some more drooling... er mean looking it over!:-laf

I am curious to what they did for the front suspension and drivetrain... pics please! :)

I still think its funny they pull all that work into it, and left it with a short bed...

sounds to me about like a International knock-off. All heavy truck components with a pick-up body, but one thought why didn't they just stick an air ride under the back as long as they are talking so much about luxary? They already have the drive train to handle some weight.

Oh yeah and I agree about the ugly stick.

i think your all scared of whats coming :D

that thing is ugly as sin but i would love to drive it. lets see the mpg info. 8ft bed wouldnt hurt either. solid front axle. too luxury for me.

It's like they are trying to hard to make the truck look cool

5 speed MANUAL? Yeah, the comments about top speed of 60mph possibly has more truth then not.

35,000# eh? looks like it's typically over rated for reality.

Taste?

I think you fellers are jest jealous. Dodge has its own problems and if Toyota can do it better I'm all for it. Remember NAFTA and GATT. Its a world market and there are AMERICAN components in this prototype vehicle. There are even a few AMERICAN components in the Dodge:-laf. Toyota has been making Diesel trucks long before Dodge/Chrysler even dreamed of doing so. If you want an all AMERICAN made vehicle you will have to build it yourself. Be careful to screen your component lables for manufacturer location. As far as the look in the perspective photograph, my first impression is a Bull Terrier. It looks aggressive but I would prefer a SRW and it needs more gears. GregH

Well I am not too fond of the look, but I like the general idea that Toyota is going that direction. I will tell you from experience with warranty work. Toyota is about the best when it comes to customer service and warranty work. Never ran into the headaches with toyota that I have with the Dodge. Hopefully this will make Dodge raise an eyebrow and look at making their customer service a bit better. Because if you screw your customers over enough they will look elswhere for what they want/need!!

Looks like a futuristic(but ugly) Dodge from the front, but the side profile isn't bad... . 2600RPM redline is pretty low though. The gauge cluster looks good too, but I don't know about an 80mph speedometer, I would have that buried the whole commute. The interior is pretty ugly too, but it is a concept, so it will change alot I bet before anything ever goes into production... . but and 8. 0L inline does sound interesting... .

Rice, the food of Warriors!

I wonder if it will run on rice??????

I ran on rice for a couple of years and so did our our Opponents in an earlier conflict. Rice, Kimche and pork stew has got to be the best field rations I ever had Oo. , Better than "C", or LRRP's. Rice GOOD ;) ! GregH
