Buying 5 new tires (bigger than stock) so I bought a matching aluminum wheel so I could rotate the spare in the sequence. Asked the dealer if putting a TPMS in the spare would screw up the readings and display values of the other 4 tires, he couldn't tell me if it would or not. Does anyone know if this is an issue or not? THANKS!!

I’m going to say NO...it will not cause any issues.
My reasoning is without rotation of the tire, the sensor will go to sleep. If it’s asleep.....it’s no longer transmitting any information.

Yes, i agree with Brockman. Not only will it go to sleep. These particular sensors determine which tire they are on by detecting the direction of rotation as well as the strength of the signal tells the receiver whether they are on the front or back.

When it's time to change tires, i'm likely going to put a TPMS sensor in my chrome/steel spare that i bought on ebay and make that part of the tire rotation.
