TPS / APPS Location ???

My truck is doing that TCC lock/unlock. I am trying to locate the TPS / APPS to check connections and clean it before resorting to the PCM flash upgrade, TSB 18-02-99. Just don't want them doing that! Heard it can change the shift points and make it unpleasant. Happy with trans now, except for the stank'n ol noisy APPS!



Is it behind the bell crank assembly?



Symptoms getting worse as the days go by. Need to fix it soon, but can't find the silly thing!

Open the hood. Locate the intake horn, going into the engine. Look directly in front of that, you'll see three bolts. Undo those three bolts. What your looking for is underneath that (attached to it).



Does that make sense? I tried to keep it simple.

In front of that? Meaning toward the front of the truck. Can you give me another landmark that it is close too???

Look at the front (towards front of truck) right front cornor of the valve cover, and look over to the right (facing truck) and you'll see it.

Any tips on cleaning it. I've tried to find all i can, but without the search you know how it is. I've read you need an 1/8 in drill bit to drill out the rivets(I assume, haven't seen the sensor yet). then just clean them up and put on Di-Electric grease.
