I was changing the oil in ol' blue today and thought I would check the codes using the key trick. This after taking it to the dealer for a cold start surge issue that ended up starting the "Worthless Dealer" thread. They of course could find nothing.
Anyway, I now have the P0122 code and have no idea why. The dealer, in their quest to void my warranty, said the APPS had been unplugged and the only way I can see they were able to see this was to take it loose and look at it. Do you guys think the ignorant tech set the code or should I look into the problem a little more? Maybe I should disconnect the batteries and see if it reappears in a few days.
How difficult is a TPS to change and how expensive are they at Cummins. I will do it myself if it is relatively straight forward. This is a way better alternative than dealing with a dealer.
Thanks
