Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) TPS location

I need to clean the connection at my TPS, but am unsure of exactly where it is located. I was told it was near the head on the drivers side, and the electrical connector went up through the bottom. Am i close?

Your close,the connector is under the black coverwhere the throttle cable goes into,you dont need to remove the cover reach underneath you'll feel it,there is also a zip tie securing the harness there to,you may need to remove this as well.

TPS connection???... ... ... . why is it necessary to clean it? What are the symptoms of it needing attention? Oo.

My torque converter is failing to lockup. It is getting a reflash tomorrow, but I read the second step is cleaning the connection. It didn't help.

Matt... I wish my converter wasn't locking up. When OD button is off, it locks up in 3rd at 25-27 mph. Even under light throttle Real pain in the a$$ when you want it to get up and go. I need to really lay into the pedal to unlock and jump down a gear. Does the same thing in 4th at 43 mph. Wish they had a reflash for that.
