I have been using the 5K potentiometer for about one year with great success. I have it set at 2 volts and I rarely have a need to change the voltage. The best part is the converter stays locked much longer on deceleration.

Remember while being fed a constant voltage within the range of 1. 2-2. 8 volts the transmission up shifts and down shifts according to the speed sensor as stated on page one of this thred.

I fairly certain that the TPS is the same in 1st and 2nd generation 12 valve trucks.

$30 may be ok for you but I like Less than $5 better.

WilsonF, I saw the same add, thanks for the info.

JackStone, I thought I had read somewhere that there was a difference in years as to whether the pots worked correctly or not? I guess I'll find out because I'm going to wire mine up

Mine hasn't missed a beat! It's one of the best mods I've done on my truck as a matter of fact!

I haven't had a single issue in 10,000 miles of Hwy/City, and towing heavy loads over 18,000 pounds.

I just finished my home made TPS delete/relocation. I would like to thank all the people in the above posts plus Radio Shack, Lowe's and Harbor Freight. This mod has given me confidence in my "new to me" '95 Dodge Cummins, auto, dually, 4x4. The truck now drives and shifts like a normal vehicle, plus it gives more versatility for towing. Now on to the air bags. Thanks so much!

Could a toggle switch be added also? That way when you wanted to unlock you could flip the switch instead of turning the pot and changing your set point.
