I have tried the trick with the electrical cleaner, and I am still having problems on and off with my converter locking/unlocking at highway speeds.

I guess I need to replace the switch. Where is the best place to get one? Parts store? Dealer? Online? My truck is a 94.

With the truck being a 94, you could very well need to replace it. To my knowledge, the stealer is the only place to get one. Others with chime in if they know of another place. I know you tried cleaning it, but you may want to remove it and clean the back side real well. You can also take a small round file and wobble out the mounting holes and see if you can get the proper voltage again. Another thing, one of the forum members did was to remove the TPS sensors wires from the wiring harness back a couple of feet and that worked for him. Do a search and include shedren as a search item. Scott is the one that discovered the wire harness problem. In my experience, you just got to maintain the proper voltage back to the brain box and all works fine. Good luck, and hopfully someone else can help out and get the thing fixed without replacing it. They aren't as inexpensive as they should be.

Call Cummins and ask for this part number 3930318. They were running in the $120 dollar range a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if they have gone up much since then. I know the dealer wanted over $200 for the same part back then.

Thanks for the reply's. I think I'll give Cummins a call on Monday. I don't want to damage my transmission, and need to take the truck on a long trip next week.
