Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) TPS not reading full range

I read my TPS with a scan tool and it read 18. 8% at idle and 76. 4% at WOT. It seems to me that it should be closer to 0% at idle and 100% at WOT. My TPS was replaced with a new one I purchased at the dealer in december. Am I missing something. I have full travel on my linkage.

What voltage is the voltage the tps is putting out?

I think someone will be answer your question better knowing the voltage.

I have not checked the volts. My scan tool only reads percentages. I did check the input voltage and it was 5. 2v. I have not figured out how to get the probes on the back of the TPS yet its a little tight.

use diaper pins poke the wire and clip your leads onto them and you will have free hands to adjust it.
