This idea has probably been discussed in the past, however I don't recall seeing it. Thought I'd put it out there just in case it hasn't. I was to the point of not being able to even get 1 volt, regardless of what I tried. It stands to reason that something had to of changed over time. I decided to loosen the three bolts to the mechanism that the TPS bolts too. I was amazed at how much play there was. I simply turned the bracket counter clock wise and re-tightened the bolts. After getting the TPS back on, I was able to easily get 1. 5 volts without any effort at all. I ended up adjusting the voltage to 1. 3 volts. What a difference this adjustment made. I'm still a firm believer that contact cleaner should be used at oil changes, but this method can possibly help those of you that simply could not get the desired voltage when making adjustments. The three bolts are fairly easy to loosen with a 7 mm socket. The one bolt that is a little harder to get to is the top right bolt as you are facing it. You just need to push the throttle some and the bolt can be easily reached. Hope this will help a few of you out there.
