I'm curious to hear what kind of TPS voltages you guys are running. Currently my truck is at ~. 9 volts. I think this is a little low, but I have adjusted it as much as I could. It seems to function fine. Do you think if I purchase a new one the voltages with be higher given the same adjustment I have now?

A while back I read a few of you are running 1. 4 volts. What do I have to gain by running a higher voltage? Isn't the Dodge spec 1. 0 volts +/- . 2, please correct me if I'm wrong.

BTW - 97,000 miles on original TPS

Thanks for the info,

Ryan

BushWakr,

Please explain how your 3-4 shift is with the higher voltage. How does the lower voltage help.

Thanks,

Ryan

I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a better way to get to the wire for checking voltage. The small paper clip works, but is a real you know what. Perhaps a whisker off of bin laden would work. There is obviously nothing normal about the heathen, so perhaps his beard would make a good conductor. How about it Mr. Bush, can this be tested by our guys and gals in uniform? I would suggest a wee bit higher voltage however. Lets say 30,000. :D :D  ;)

I pushed mine up to 1. 4 volts at idle to help delay TC lockup.

I also hoped to delay the 3-4 shift a little because my PCM has no idea about my gov spring kit and shifts too early in my opinion.

I recently lowered this value to . 8 or so. It APPEARS to help with the 4-3 downshift. I don't know exactly how the PCM is programmed, but the truck downshifts more readily and at higher speeds from 4th down to 3rd whereas with the TPS voltage at 1. 4, it rarely downshifted above 50 mph.

disclaimer: My truck is modified on a daily basis so it's hard to isolate the changes I've made and their direct relationship to downshifting and TC lockup. Regardless, I hope it helps.
