Trac bar follies-Lukes link

Got the assembly in and greased up but it's making a slight 'clunking' noise when I turn the wheels just right of midline. I got under and had the lovely work the steering and with my hand on the trac bar, I can feel the 'clunk'. I followed directions (about time) and was pretty confident all was assembled right. What the heck could it be? Any ideas?



I'm going to try tightening and loosening the nut tomorrow and see if it helps.

Could be the axle end...

has worn out it's bushing! Call Johnnie Lucas, he is very willing to help.

No noise before install

Steve, I was hoping it wasn't the frame piece! What I really raised an eyebrow to was that it didn't make any noise before the Lukes link install. I think i'll give them a call and see what they have to say. Also, in the instructions it was stated that you shouldn't place the back bushing into the new fix unless the joint was worn out. Maybe that would help???



Got to get this fixed before Saturday... Going to Canada to see Bill and Stefan.

One person reported that the install caused rubbing on the front diff. Look for new scratch marks.
