Rear Axel Seals Leaking ... Advice

I installed Lukes Link track bar bushings in my pre March '07' (torqued to 150 ft lbs. ) but still have 1/2" play on the differitial end. Think my track bar is worn out? Any redcomendations for a replacement? Any help at all?

Thanks

How is a replacement track-bar going to cure play in the one they currently have, if I read it correctly that they have already replaced the bushings?

It sounds like the axle mount has egg-shaped holes from wear... OP, you did install the steel bushing into the poly bushing before bolting it to the axle???

Let me respond to the second part of your response (OP, you did install the steel bushing into the poly bushing before bolting it to the axle???) DUH!!

As to the second part (How is a replacement track-bar going to cure play in the one they currently have,) I pulled the track bar and mic'd the bushing holes to find that they were out of round by . 43mm. I installed a BD today resulting in a total cure to my steering problems.

muddflap
what truck did you do that to?
did it tighten up the front in any way? like reverberation on washboard bumps?
I did the kit, but the dam bolt on the driver side i cant get tight enough! it moves (clunks) about twice a day. even with lock tight.

My '07'. Never had any reverberation just some drifting and it took care of that. Mine are torqued to 150 ft. lbs. and nothing moves now.
