Looking for a good place to buy TRACK BAR that will last? I have a 160,000 miles on my truck, this will be my third bar. And the best price

Thanks, David

In the new issue of the TDR #39 page 10 Its shows a repair for it!!. Also page 47 a repair from luke's link. Hope this helps. :D

Got to love the TDR!!

David. . :D Oo.

I still have my original trackbar. NAPA sells a lifetime warranty trackbar. DT Trackbar is supposed to be the best, but it will not accomodate the Maghytec Dana 60 front diferential cover unless you're lifted about 5+ inches (as told here on the TDR). There's also Luke's Link which is a permanent repair ti the trackbar by replacing/redesigning the bal ends of the trackbar, ball joint, etc.

My friend Larry used Luke's link to repair the trackbar on his 98 QC LB and is very pleased with the results. Search the TDR for 'trackbar', and you'll come up with a lot more information than I can begin to provide.

The lifetime Napa bar works for me. Traded it in for a new one twice in 190k with no questions.

Then again I may have gone for a Luke's if they had been availible five years ago.

can anyone describe the quick fix for around $7 for the track bar?

Thought I saw something mentioned from Summit but can't find with a search. One new track bar. Want to fix it right. Will go to lukes link if recommended.

Don't mess around with cheap trade offs. Go luke's link or life time bar mentioned here in this thread. Just my dollars worth:D

Luke's link is the only way to go, I've tried the lifetime route & all I got was "its within spec" they did'nt care about my rounded tires or "death wobble". When you buy a new track bar it will have a minimum amount of play & they use a wire spring to hold the top bushing down against the ball. The spring is no where near strong enough to hold the ball down while turning, as shone by the wear marks in side the housing. Thus your steering still feels mushy with a new track bar.
