A stock '05, 4x4 with 85K miles has now progressed from four new 265 LTX's and Bilstein 5100's on the rear, to complementary 5100's on the front and Luke's trackbar bushings. I had to press-remove the stock bushings. Luke's bushings fitted into the 'naked bar' with minimal mallet help. Was I correct to press out the metal liner/sleeve along with the original rubber?

I recentlly did the same procedure to my 03,bushings didn't look to bad but were worn. I didn't feel like beating the bushings with a hammer so i had them pressed out and it all worked out!!

The stock bushing ( from the inside out ) consisted of a cylinder through its center, the rubber itself and an outer cylindrical metal sleeve. I pressed all out, leaving only the nodular iron of the trackbar itself. The LUKE's bushing's rubber now sits against the trackbar. It seems more 'wear-prone' than the original... but its easy to replace now.
