trackbar moog or DT

Well boys and girls its trackbar time.



narrowed it down to Moog or DT. local Carquest has the Moog for $197 which seems high to me. The p/n DS1413 Is this the right one as it states its for a 98



As the search option is down does anybody have the website data for DT?

Moog/Carquest DS1413 is the one. It does fit the 01. Paid $171 plus tax.

When mine goes out, I'm getting the DT. I think it's about $350 but not sure. From what I hear the moog has a lifetime guaranty, but it still wears out. So I would rather do it once and pay a little more. It's nice looking too. Sorry, but I don't know their website.

also i have heard that p/n DS1256 is the beefier one for our trucks. What can you get that one for and do you want to get into the underground trackbar blackmarket fyi i was qouted $256 for it

I just bought the *new* DT Trac bar for my truck. $330 for a truck with up to a 3" lift kit. For more than 3" of lift, I think it is like $350 or maybe $360.



I don't have the DT web site address handy, but it is a few years out of date. You would need to call them diretly, and naturally I don't have that phone number handy either.....

[edit] Yes, as Jason says below, the main reason I went DT is because I am also getting a 2 1/2" Skyjacker lift installed this next weekend and the DT Trac bar will go in at the same time.

DT is not cheap... ... . but man is it a sweet piece of work! Whether it's worth it to you is for you to decide-for me I needed the adjustability to recenter my axle after a levelling kit (that is still all sitting on the shop floor waiting for installation )

I Emailed these guys to see if we can get a price on a T-bar. It is similar to the Heim Joint DT.

I had a DT bar 1/2 installed a few years ago. All the bolts were the wrong length. Way too long. They hit the steering shaft. I got fed up and threw everything back in the box and shipped it back.

From what was said on a recent thread, the Moog DS1413 is the updated version. Around here they are $100 and some change at Advance Auto.

I got a quick email response Performance Unlimited. It is not a direct bolt-on T-bar:



"Not a direct fit. The best way is to make your own frame bracket to a dorf pre-80 F-150 bracket, and we can make it to fit that".



If you want to research the bracket we need, feel free.
