Fish & Wildlife thread is gone!!

Need Lift for theatre-help please!

If one dosen't have a tracking number, or no info about a package that was suppose to ship, is there anyway to find out if it was ever shipped?? Could I give them the destination address???

I think I got beat on an item from e-bay, all I have is the e-mail of the person, and have been getting no response.

AS for Fedex, even if you had a tracking number it can be a PITA.

I bought a guitar out of nashville, It showed it somewhere in MO, and that was it. The day it was due it showed up here, but tracking still showed MO.

As far as Ebay, post something on his feedback, he'l answer or nobody will buy from him again.

I can't post negative feed back, reason being...

The item I bid on had a reserve price, the reserve was not met, although I was the highest bidder. The seller contacted me, I accepted and here I am, money gone and no idea where my item is...

Bummer, hope you're not out too much. You may have some recourse through your payment method.

Good luck

1-800-go fedex should get you to someone who may be able to track it by your address... ... if it's in the system.

Welcome to the club... I got beat on an e bay deal a couple years ago. . luckily it was "only" $50.

I would think you would be okay with PayPal, though I have absolutely minimal experience with it. As long as you didn't send the guy a money order, or some such... .

I hope it works out for you.

You can file a police report locally internet fraud!!!!

No matter what happens durinfreight, the rule is

THY WHO PAID FOR THE SHIPPING IS RESPONSABLE FOR DAMAGE R LOST EVEN AFTER RECIVING... .

firewalker is correct, call the police dept. in the seller's city if you have his address. they will follow up

Fraud is a felony

I just received a van bulkhead this afternoon that I bought on eBay in December.

Due to your transaction not going through eBay channels, the following won't help, but might help someone in the future.

I was high bidder on a van bulkhead and the seller insisted on a money order. I sent the money order December 22, 2003 and waited a week and contacted the seller to check the status of the deal. I did not hear from him but noticed a couple of days later that he had been suspended by eBay. eBay recommended that I file an internet fraud complaint with the ICCFBI agency. I did this. The next time I was able to contact him I was told he had suffered a broken back in an accident but his wife would get the bulkhead out. After 60 days and no results, I filed an eBay complaint. I updated this every week but he never responded. All this time he was both buying and selling on eBay while ignoring me. I was then eligable to file a buyer protection claim in order to get a part of my money back directly from eBay.

Two days ago eBay closed my initial complaint due to no response from the seller. They recommended I file a fraud complaint with the USPS since the money order was sent through the mail. They also furnished me the address info for the Georgia Attorney General to file, since the seller is there.

I decided to try one more email to the seller. I informed him that a federal complaint had been filed with the ICCFBI, that a form was on the way to file a mail fraud complaint, that the state of Georgia would have the complaint within two days, and that I had requested a partial reimbursement from eBay. I told him that he might think twice about ignoring correspondence from any of these folks.

Within an hour he emailed me and stated that the bulkhead was being sent that evening (Wednesday). He was a little nasty in his remarks, but I reminded him everything was caused by his choices, not mine. The bulkhead arrived at 4:00 PM today.

If anyone has a problem with an eBay transaction just click on the SERVICES link at the top and you can find all the available remedies. I did not want to go as far as I did, but this seller was even blocking my emails and ignoring my requests for information. The threat of having to answer to eBay, state authorities, federal authorities, and the USPS finally got results.

Hope this helps someone if they have similar problems!

Well, I told him I was reporting him and...

This is the response I got, we'll see!!!

Hey Mark, sorry you are feeling ignored. My company had me out in Detroit all last week. I got back late last night and just seen your email. A guy I work with shipped out your part. The head had to be dissassembled and shipped in two seperate shipments on ups to meet their 150lb max. I guess he didn't email you the shipping numbers or you wouldn't be emailing me. I went into work and went through his desk this morning and couldn't see any shipping info. The parts were shipped as I talked to Dave on Thurs. They were shipped early in the week. When I get to work on Monday morning I can get you the details. Sorry for the inconvienience.

Mark,

That sounds promising. If I had to guess, this guy is on the up and up. I'd expect some info forthcoming on Monday though. He should be willing to provide his address and phone number if he is going to honor the agreement.

I don't think I'll be sending money orders to anyone soon.

Matt

I used Pay-Pal, and the item is in California...

I filed a complaint with Pay-Pal last week, checking the status of my file daily, and the person has not even responded to Pay-Pals e-mails.
