Tracking orders

BigYellowIron,

I ordered 2 weeks ago and called the number that you can get on Dave Fritz's dodgeram.org page. It is on the left side under Order Status. Was able to find that my order was in the system but had not gotten a build date yet. Hope this helps.

well the dealer that ordered it can track it by running a "function 46" - report of incoming vehicles, OR call the number with the VON#, if you need any help, let me know the VIN and VON and i will call cassens transport, (friend works there)

Vin= duh, you should know last 7 at least,

VON = vehicle order number, 8 digits with probably 6 in first pos.

cya

BTW= did you get a good deal? :D :D i know what one looks like ;) ;)

Call your dealer and get the VON number. then you can call this # 1-800-992-1997. Just follow the instructions to get a rep to talk to. Jeff :cool: :cool: :cool:

Just so you are aware, if you call the 1-800 number with a VON # they may NOT be able to help you. I called a few weeks ago with my VON # and the guy said he could not find anything in the system for that VON # and said I needed to call my dealer to mack sure the VON # was correct and that they placed an order. The guy said a VIN # would be much more helpful. This freaked me out and I though maybe I had missed the cut-off date and my order had been canceled. I called the dealer and they had a BX order status code (Meaning my truck had been approved for build).

I called the dealer today and they have the last 8 digits of my VIN # and a scheduled build date of 4-20, (strange since the 20th is a Saturday, did not know the factory worked weekends:confused: ) Dealer said they would not have the full VIN # until the truck was built and fully invoiced. I was told to call them on the 22nd or 23rd and hopefully they should have a rail car number.

My truck is being built in Lago, Mexico. I hear the fit -n-finish is better on the Mexico trucks and the paint is better. The dealer told me the EPA is not as strict in Mexico so "they can use the good paint" down their. The driftwood centerband paint on my '95 is peeling off the divers side (built in Warren, Michigan):mad: :mad: :mad:

Things must have changed. I ordered my truck on 12-31-01. The following week I called the #800 and they had my full VIN. It only took 4 weeks & 2 days to get here. Mine was built in Mexico also. The dealer didn't do a thing for me. I got a lot of info from the person from Dodge. JeffOo. Oo. Oo.

VIN

Hmmm... strange about the dealer saying that. When I was calling every week, I got my full VIN about the 3 week. It took 9 weeks to get my truck... the last 2 weeks was the worst of the wait. I tracked it on the railcar and even went over to where they drop off the cars/trucks when it arrived in Council Bluffs. It was April 1st when the dealer called at 8:20 PM saying it arrived. That was a great day on April 2nd. Right now the truck has 1300 miles on it and I don't see the miles staying off it since the other car is so old and low to the ground... besides, the truck is more fun to drive and gets about the same mileage around town. Right now with about 70/30 (city/highway) driving I'm getting 17. 1 mpg - I'm very happy with this truck and know that I made the best choice.

I hope that it doesn't take as near as long to get your truck as it did mine!

Got my Vin #

Called the 800# today and gave the operator my order# and got my Vin#. It is being built in Mexico with a tentative build date of the 2nd week of May. Operator said next week they should be able to give me an exact date. Ordered it on April 8th.

I ordered a 2500 Quad Cab 4X4 6-spd H. O. Camper and Towing Group, 241HD, 3. 55 Anti-spin, Power Seat, Fog Lamps, Travel Convenience Group, and Air Dam Atlantic Blue/Silver two-tone with Mist Gray interior. Skipped CD Player, rather spend it on a MP3 capable stereo that is XM satellite ready.
