2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Traction Bars

My buddy has a 2002 CTD ext cab shortbed 4x4. He wants a set of traction bars and is having a hard time getting any good info. I told him I would come here and see what you guyz are doing for the traction bars. If you build your own are there any tricks or angles that you need to follow? Thanks any and all info is greatly appreciated!! Jim

Look up lsfarm for a set of second genners,he will build them for you,PM him,but he is a commercial pilot and is gone until the 23rd. I know he had 3 set of longbox ones but has to build the shorties,i"m waiting on my custom color(intense blue)ones,should be ready at the end of the month or so. ----DW. ----PS only heard "good things" about his bars.

I did these. It's like driving a new truck. No more "directional stability" problems ... i. e. I can keep it in a straight line now.

I am saving my pennies for a set from Greg to help reduce axle wrap. Does a 2wd truck need steering correction as much as a 4wd?

That kit helps eliminate frame damage that a home built set MIGHT cause.

If you look in my readers rigs area you will set the set like LSFarm is selling. They are about as tough as they came and you will find they are a very nice addition to your truck. I'd have to say one of the single best mods I have done... ..... Andy
