Traction bars under towing and hauling ?. To side step your question a little Mopar never recommended traction bars but they did recommend adjustable pinion snubbers. I had traction bars a long time ago on a hot car. I removed them and installed the snubber which worked a lot better than traction bars ever thought they could work. How the snubber would work on a truck I have no idea.

I had a set on mine. I just took them off a few weeks ago. I had a real problem with axle wrap. I installed a Carli suspension system and also opted for the deaver rear leaf springs. I didn't put the bars back on to see if the new springs helped or fixed that problem and the new springs did fix that problem. The new springs got rid of the large lift blocks under the stock springs. I got mine from a member who I have not seen on here in a very long time LSFARM who used to make/sell them. In some respects they improved the ride and in others they hurt the ride. Obviously they hurt articulation.

Caltracs has them for rams. http://www.calvertracing.com/store/caltracs-5450-9401-dodge-ram-25003500-4wd-p-183.html.

They are of a different design than the ones I was using. Mine mounted under the axle via the u bolts and extended forward 4 or so feet to a mount on the frame rail.
