Competition 1055 HP - Garmon needs Rehab!!!

Competition 951hp !!!!

Anyone know who makes a decently priced set of traction bars for Sledpulling.

For a 2001 HO??

Thanks for the help.

I had a couple places in mind but wanted to hear from the locals... :)

If I was going to buy and set from anybody it would be Greg Long (LsFarm) from Great Lakes Diesel. I have seen a lot of them hold up on pulling trucks. I would have ended up buying a set too, but "Buckeye Boy" (Justin :-laf ) and a buddy of his built me a set.

Get a set from Greg "lsfarm" long, I built mine like gregs set..... In the end it woudl have been easier to buy them!!

Greg is a "diesel god" he knows these trucks in and out, and hes not out to scam anyone so dont hesitate to talk to him!!

I will concur that Greg Long (gldw) is a stand up guy, very knowledgable and somewhat of a perfectionist. Makes sense, his day job is commercial airliner captain, in that profession no dummys or punks allowed!!

He's in the process of building my "Intense Blue" set for me over the turkey weekend, can"t wait, hopefully Christmas early for me,next is the trackbar conversion(have bracket),maybe the wifey will bring my Mag-hytec front/+Borgeson shaft for Christmas--(hint hint hint and yes see can read my posts)after that its a call to Greg at DRC for my pace system- then suspention is done. Whats next---who knows- --wish/earn list is for maybe a ported head/cam/hotrodvp/Twins/mach 4's. Only heard good things about Gregs bars, about a month ago he had 3 sets of long wheelbase bars left but no shorties(plus my custom color). Email him at Lsfarm@earthlink.net. GoodluckDw

Sorry if I butcher the spelling of the name...

Darryl (sp) Poole, I got his number somewhere. PM me if you want it. There is somewhat of a history behind his bars, and they are competitively priced.

I was thinking of copying BigBadDodges and making some of my own, he's got some pretty good pictures on his website.

I am thinking of making my own similar to Big Bad Dodges aswell, I was thinking about attaching them to the plate that the u-bolts bolt down to on the bottom of the axle. Do I need 4 links or will 2 be enough for my 01?

The guy with the 2001 ended up buying a set from the Diesel Depot (aka Darryl Poole).

They are bolt-on and look great.

If I remember right Craig Severson runs them on his pulling truck.

any pics of these? how long are they? i was planing on doing a Big Bad Dodge style with the long links. I just don't know if i need 4 links or 2? Thanks for the quick response.

Well I have some homebrew traction bars on my truck. I have a gallery in my readers rigs full of pictures of them. So far they work GREAT! 4 pulls last year and not a single problem. I was hoping to hit a lot more this year but with this new 2. 4/2. 8+ tons of saftey equip looks like I won't be pulling much this year. :{
