Vintage Pianos . . . got one?

Cummins-D/C survey

friends 95 2w/d w/overloads, pulls a boat that weighs 3000#.

at the ramp launching and retrieving the boat, the v truck slides,he looses traction. what is the problem? weight? tires?

J,

Yea, weight, as in, there isn't any. At that angle, on slippery concrete, pullin' somethin' outta' the water really limits tongue weight, then throw in the fact that the trailer tires are in the sand/mud and traction become almost nil. You may try puttin' sand bags in the bed. I've never owned a 2 legger so I have never had an issue at the launch. :p :D

Nothing that a 1000 lbs in the back won't fix. Whatever he adds make sure it's secured and doesn't become a missile in a panic stop or accident. 50 lb bag of sand doesn't feel good coming though the back window into your head, hunk of concrete is worse.

I have 2wd with about 2000# in the back all the time. I do not have any problem yanking a 3400# boat out of the lake as quickly as I want. I have even tried to spin the tires once or twice.

I have the power and the traction=no problem.

Like they said, pack some sand.

examine the way Bill worded this phrase...
