At work we have a Long 2310. Has anyone ever heard of this make of tractor? It says it is made in Romania. Is it reliable? It has been mostly trouble free for us.
Is there any way to increase the power a little bit, turn the pump up or something?
We have a Long 550. 55 hp. 1975 with over 1800 hours on it and it still runs great. i am sure there is a way to increase the power a bit at the injector pump, but we have never messed with ours.
they are made in Romania and usually shipped here without tires and wheels so they are an "incomplete vehicle" thus getting around some tarriffs and stuff. then the dealer usually puts goodyear or firestone rubber on them.
the interesting thing that i have noted that the new Longs use the same transmission and t-case as well as other parts that our 1975 one has.
hopefully they have updated the seals and stuff like that, cause with age they start to leak around the rear end a little bit. a few other real nice features it has is an independent PTO clutch, wonderful power steering, and man will it run on the road
