Competition tractor weights

Ok guys, just got a hitch for the front of the truck, now i am looking for some tractor weights, where is the best place to look for/ get them.

Seen some on Ebay. Although, if you go to the right farm auction where they usually sell them seperate from the tractors, I've seen people buy a full rack of weights (IH) with the mounting bracket for $50.

I would like to know what auction. My dad goes to farm auctions all the time and if the are IH or JD then you probably anything less that $45 for 100lb weight is a good price. Some of the other brands can probably be gotten cheap. I like the IH since it is easy to make a bracket for, the JD isn;t too bad either though.

Z- It was quite a few years ago, and where sled pulling wasn't that big of a deal. Just an old farmer retiring. Wasn't advertised real heavy. The weights were off of a beat up 1086.



Anymore, the scalpers make it hard for anyone to get what they want, cheap. Get lucky sometimes though.

Cat dealer in town sold me take-offs for $50 each. 100lbs per. Had nine of them. Really nice weights.

Find em used if you can, your looking at $1 per pound new,

I like my White weights they mount really easily and are very secure when mounted.

Pulloff.com usually has pulling stuff for sale. There are usually several different colors of weights available.

Sure is nice to have lots of tractors at home I can take weights off of...
