After putting in this Dana 80 the truck sits higher in the back due to the larger housing and what looks like higher spring perch. It was already a little bit higher but now seems like too much.

Was a 4" block ever made? My only other option is to raise the front with some 2" Skyjackers I guess.

Yes, there were shorter blocks, but I don't recall if they were 4". When I purchased my 92 CTD I had the rear lowered by the dealer so it would fit in my garage.

I have my stock blocks layin around, I'll try to remember to measure them up for ya. I don't think they are 6in. Go to a local boneyard of suspension shop. They should have all sorts of factory blocks you can measure up and slap in.

We had 3"er's and 6"er's. I have a set of 3"er's I'll trade. BTW a 5 gallon bucket taped shut works good to ship these. I've received and shipped 3 sets for some reason in the past.

I think the 2nd gens use 4"er's.

Yes, they are 3" and 6" blocks. Took me a year to find the 6" blocks. I may have a set of 3" laying around also, would have to go look.

The 3" blocks, or so I have been told, came on the 89-91 trucks. Starting about the 91-91. 5 to the 93 trucks , they went to the 6" blocks. I believe people were complaining about the trucks sitting level with the 3" blocks and when loaded, really squatted.

On the other hand, I have also seen people looking for the 3" blocks as the truck sits too high for a goose neck or 5vr.

Cut them down and re-drill the center hole. I had to make a 1. 25" block to level my Ramcharger after I lifted it. A piece of 1" stock with a bolt ran down through the middle welded to a piece of . 25" with a hole in it was all it took. And I did it on company time.

Thanks for the responses.

Seems 6"ers are hard to find so I'm holding back cutting them if I change my mind.

I will look into the 2nd gen kind.

Running 265/75/16 tires I have 38" from floor to bottom of front fender opening and the rear is 41".

you really wanna go with a bigger tire I can get another set of 325-85-R16 michelin's sweet tires but they r Big runout to be close to a 39 in tall tire

and they are rated for over 5000 lbs a tire .
