Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) trade my smarty for your tst

Im just looking at trying different things. I love the smarty but cant really use it towing with a stock trans and like the convenience of adjustability. I just updated to the newest software. Id like a tst comp. on 02 24v right now. thanks. Dan

oh prefferably an adjustable unit. Im also open to other things in treade comperable or trades and cash.

I run the Smarty with the TST PM3 (I will have it upgraded to Comp version soon... ) and I couldn't be happier. The two stack very nicely. You can combine the added throttle response and low end of Smarty with the top end punch you get from the TST box. It is quite a good combo. There are quite a few of us running this combo and I haven't heard any complaints.



Oh, and since Smarty doesn't defuel at same spot the stock ECM does, it helps you get more out of your TST on the top end.



I typically run Smarty on #9 and TST on #5. I can't do more than that as I am pushing my EGT limits already with stock turbo.

You wont be able to tow with the tst comp with stock transmission either. My clutch slipped on any setting above 3 while towing.

I would really like one with the controller. i do tow quite a bit but only about 5-6k, just a race car on an open trailer. I usually towed with the comp on 5x5 when I had it. I drive easy and never had an issue.

I tow with the Smarty on #9. Only after I added the TST did it start to slip in O/D.
