Well after much debate (wife) and a heavy heart I finally gave up my big red 93. I loved driving it down the street and getting all kinds of waves and thumbs up. I also loved the fact it was paid for, and most of all I loved parking in a store parking lot and letting the other guy worry about the door dings. However, I traded with another user who had a 03 quad cab just like I've been looking at for some time now. When I showed up to make the deal mine made the 3rd 1st gen sitting in his yard, so I know it will be taken care of - probably better then what I've been managing - The need for a newer truck that could handle all of my work and family needs drove home the point.

This group has passed along a lot of great advice and I thank you for it. I will continue to be a TDR member just reading from a differrent section of the site more often than this one.

Who knows I might just stumble into another great used 1st gen sometime. Wonder where I can hide it from my wife.

Hey, who know's maybe one day you find a nice 1st Gen to pick up cheap and use as a hobby truck... . either way, you were a 1st gen guy first..... drop in when ever you like bud... . :D:D:D

pb... .

we lost another one

Ahlass... another pilgrim has lost his way... . Giving in to the forces of the evil electronic beast that has lured and led him astray..... Return to to the light!

Resist the temptation... ... Repent your sin. Buy back the first gen. Give praise to the mighty 12 valve, the rotary ve pump, the coined dual wheels... .

Free yourself of 94 up economy engineering... . LOL

It is a nice truck and it came to me in great shape. I have done a little, not much to it. Taller tires were the first major expense, I am sure I will blow some more, seems to be my style. It has a cold weather rattle in the right side of the cowl. I suspect the dash will be coming out so we can weld the cowl. Thanks Craig for all the care you gave her. Glen
