Trail-Eze Wind Deflector Adjustment setting?

I have that Trail-Eze Automatic wind Deflector and I was wondering if anyone has it and knows what hole to put the sprng jacks in... .

My Raptor Toyhauler has a sloped front end and I would estimate about 11' high. I have a short bed truck but have a 10" pin extender.

The mount has 3 holes on the bottom and like 5 or so on the deflector... . So where do any of you put yours after trial and error to get the wind to go just right?



heres a pic from the side on..... any help or settings you have on your trailers would be apreciated.

There are to many variables with the various TV/5th wheel combinations to come up with a set answer.



For a starting point I would connect the TV and 5th wheel making sure that they are on level ground. Pull a string from the center of the TV windshield (above the rear view mirror) to the top center of the 5th wheel. Adjust the position of the Trail-Eze so that it just touches the string.



The next step would be to clean to front of the RV. After a trip look to see how many and where the bugs are located. Then move the Trail-Eze up/down in increments each time checking the “bug” pattern, after you establish the “minimum” bug location that would be as good as you can get. I think that it is a trial and luck operation.
