Has anyone out there put on the Trailair Center Point suspension in their 5th wheel? If so I would like your comments on how well you like or don't like it. Has anyone opted for the Center Point instead of the Mor/ryde system or vica versa? If so, what influnced your decesion?

Thanks for your help.

I have both the centerpoint and the pin box mods on my trailer. I can't vouch for how they improved the ride because they came with the trailer and it ours first big trailer.

I can say that the ride is very smooth - you can see the pin box in action as you drive. I was going to put airbags on the truck, but I don't really think I need them. There isn't much pitching in this unit. The trailer itself rides very well - nothing moves inside it. It's also very stable - we ran in to 40 mph cross winds and even when being passed by the flying semi, she never moved.

Now, for my uneducated comments:

The trailAir pin box damps in the up/down diection. The MorRyde damps inthe forward/Aft direction. That said, if your tring to reduce chucking in your trailer/truck connection, the MorRyde would probably be a better choice. For bouncing or hammering, the TrailAir would be better. As for the centerpoint, I can't see how it would make the ride worse.

An OPINION from an UNEDUCATED driver. Take it for what it's worth.

Took a while to comment because we have only had the Trail Air pin box and center point installed for about 6 weeks now and wanted to give them a true test before commenting. After 6 weeks and over 7,000 miles I am convinced that they are worth the money not due to the ride but because of the wear and tear on the trailer and truck. Bumps and pot holes are taken without the strain and twisting of the trailer frame as in before installing them and because there is less bump on the trailer things ride much better and we can leave more items out then ever before and our trailer already had a good suspension system on it. It took about two weeks of testing the air pressure in the bags to find the just right pressure and in the first few days the company changed the air bag in the pin box for me until we found the right combination. The people with Trail Air are easy and good to deal with and they really want the system to work, each time I called them they offered sugestions for new air pressures but always offered to buy the system back without cost to me if for any reason I was not happy with it. Now I would not give it back to them for double the money, that is not to say your results would be as good a mine, however have no reason to think they would not. Did learn that each trailer is a little different and to get the best combo you must be willing to experiment, on the other hand I know people that put it on and never had to change anything. Well worth the money for us, good luck to you if you go for it.

I had my 39' Teton (3 axle) converted to the Trail Air CP3 and installed the Trail Air pin box as well. Overall I'm very satisfied. I have left items on the composite counter top and found them in their placeafter driving home from Vegas. The Mor-Ryde is good but they can and do de-laminate over time.
