Jordan Ultima 2020:D

I see that this is your first post so let me be the first to welcome you to the TDR - you'll find just about anything you need or care to know about the Cummins Turbo Diesel/Dodge RAM here. Most of it can be found by doing a search of past discussions - you'll find LOTS of threads about brake controllers if you do a search.

Jordan Ultima 2020. I've used the ramped single-output and inertial controllers - they can't come close to the truly proportional braking provided by the Jordan. Until you experience the difference as I have, it's hard to appreciate it.

Next TDR benefit...

Welcome to the TDR. Not sure if you've been listening in on the touchlines for some time, but if so, you may have come across the name of Carl/wwcd2 from time to time, who has been very helpful in group purchases offers for TDR members over the years. Drop me an email or a PM and I'll share something with you which you may find interesting :D

I am using the Prodigy controller for my 25' goosenecj car hauler. It is controlling two sets of disk brakes and works flawlessly! If you are hauling any kind of heavy loads the disk brake set up is the way to go.

Jordan Brake Controller

I just ordered the Jordan Controller and am very happy to have got the needed information here on the TDR. I think it is an offer that cannot be refused. Thank You, Jordan!

Yes, Carl, thank you very much. I didn't intend to ignore you.

By the way, I just kind of happened on to this deal via John's comments. I looked at the "classified section" under special deals and saw nothing about the Jordan Controller. Would there not be wider dissemination of this good deal if it was listed in this section. I don't know how or who adds these comments to that section but it certainly ought to develop more leads. Thanks to all concerned.

I just called Jordan up at 800 5330306, mentioned that I was a TDR member and he gave me the deal. It was great talking to him, it's nice when you can talk directly to the designer and manufacturer.

Thank's Jordan, can't wait to install the controller.

Prodigy query?

Blair, can you be a little more specific please? is it an interface problem, or incompatibility issue perhaps? I have just sent off for my Jordan Ultima 2020 controller (cheers Carl/wwcd2 :D ) and I do not believe it has this limitation. Anyone else out there running electronic trailer brakes like Blair has on his monster 5er and either a Prodigy or Jordan controller unit?

Vote for Jordan

Two thoughts:

#1: The Jordan controller is physically tied to your brake pedal and therefore gives you as close to true proportional braking as you can get these days.

#2: I have heard that the Prodigy controller may not work well with exhaust brakes. With an exhaust brake when you take your foot off the accelerator - the exhause brake comes on - the Prodigy controller senses the deceleration and applies the trailer brakes. Even if you aren't touching the brake pedal.

I have the Jordan and I think it's great. Installation is not as easy as the Prodigy but it's easily a DIY install.

Just my two-cents.
